I remember the theatre I first went to as a child. It was in a shopping mall (very American). And like you, when it shut down, I felt the loss.

But reading your personal memories, I think of the people who mostly see movies in their homes and may not go to the movies today. How different I would be if I had only ever watched films on video or DVD.
