I think Lee Isaac Chung didn’t connect the story in “Twisters” to climate change in any way because filmmakers are afraid of their movies being labeled “political.” And climate change is treated as a political issue because the merchants of doubt funded by the fossil fuel industry have been hugely successful in determining how we talk about climate change and tell climate stories.
