Several comments reflect concern that I have imbued "JFK" with too much importance. I probably have—it's, as you say, absolutely riveting. I find it riveting because it invites us all to interrogate history.

Did your father say anything in response to your provocative question?

I don't believe that one individual is responsible for a system, however, individual people contribute to horrific events. Rightfully, when something unspeakable happens, what role did we play? And how might we be sure that it doesn't happen again?
